Hello crazy golf people I played a magnificent tract of land this past weekend.  McCulloguh’s Emerald Links located in Egg Harbor Twsp N.J.  par 71 with a slope of 130.  Locals tell me this is a restored land fill of which I could not think of a better use.  Unless you play this course or pick-up a scorecard you would never know that all these grand hole are mimicked from Links courses in Europe.  Courses like Royal Portrush, Gleneagles, Nairn, Carnoustie, Southport and Ainsdale, Turnberry, Royal Dornoch, Royal Troon,  the great St. Andrews, Prestwick and Waterville.  I checked on the internet and these holes are closely related slightly shorter than the original holes (some sand missing from a bunker here or there) but from initial view they are spot on.  The signature hole is no. 10 Royal Dornoch 14, a par 4 totalling a whopping 466 yards.  Your tee shot has to carry the junk to reach the infallible fairway if you hit it 300 yds and straight you are looking at a 7iron approach but most of don’t so play smart or this hole will mortally wound your score.  The bailout is to the left of the green.  Course management is crucial.  The greens and fairways are heavenly.  Have a couple of beers and you really might believe your in Scotland somewhere.  Blind fairways, rolling hills, wind from the ocean, top notch conditions. Rough that will  swallow your ball hole never to be found again.  Course and self management are crucial.  Prices can reach up to 90 bucks on the weekend but after 5 you can squeak in for 31 bucks every 3 hours from the early morning brings the price down.  McCulloghs gets a five star rating from me a true expierence!
