Approach Shots

Let’s go ahead and say your approach shot is going to bae any shots around the green and into the green after a tee shot.  The game only begins 100 yards and in.  My buddy asks me if you can have only two shots in the golf  game to be automatic what would they be.  I will give you a little background lets assume there are four shots in the game: tee shot, approach shots, chips or pitches and the all important putt shot.  Putting is a whole other animal we will attempt to capture later.  Back to the question at hand which two shots would you want to be automatic?  In this fickle gmae nothing  is certain but if God would  grant me two favors when it comes to golf to let every tee shot hit the short grass and every chip or pitch be a gimmee ( if you play such things).  When practicing your shots around the green put your wedge back in the bag and grab an iron i bet legal tender you will get it closer than with any of your wedges.  Its not pretty but it is effective.  Let me know if it gets you closer.
