Today I find myself in the blueberry capital of the world Hammonton New Jersey. Off of route 30 we have Frog Rock Golf and Country Club. The par here 70 with a slope of 118 the total yardage is 6,131. The signature hole is number 16 the 433 yard par 4. The tee shot is uphill into a narrow fairway. Your approach had better be quality because their is a nice size bunker on the right front of the green. The green is not very receptive so leave it to the left or short to chip it close because there are trees to the back of the green that want and need to gobble your ball up. Par is a good score and birdies are possible with a good drive. The greens are the crown jewel they are hard and fast even after all the rain we have had in the south jersey area they are still quick. The fairways are terrible you can hit a shot spot on and almost not find it in the center. The rough is probably in better shape then the fairways. The bunkers are well maintained and play as they should. There is a bit of water to deal with on hole #3′s tee shot, your approach shot on #2 has to make it over the same the body of H2O. Number 10 has a partial lake to the left so be aware. 13 will give you all sorts of trouble but it is beautiful. And finally 15 borders a lake that will envelope errant tee shots. The maintennance of the course is shabby to null and void. Check yourself for ticks when you leave because there are alot of the trees for them to breed in. If it wasnt 15 to walk and 21 to ride I would call the USGA and demand that they shut it down. It gets 1 star from me but for the money it is a great practice venue.
