Pinelands Golf Course

Hey golf addicts we are out here at Pinelands Golf Club in sunny, even when its raining Winslow , N.J.  The par for this course is 70 with a slope of 123.  The total yardage is quite tame @6,363.  The greens over here are just that GREEN (LOL).  But all jokes aside these greens will wreak havoc on your psyche like this game doesn’t do that already.    I think Winslow maybe like area 51 in New Mexico because the putts dont do what they should.  Downhill putts break left and uphill putts break left you will be truly baffled.  the fairways…… hmm…….. they are cut.  You can hit a wonderful shot and end up in a patch of dirt  in the middle of the fairway.  It is not as bad as in previous years so it is getting better.  The rough is not that penalizing but if you are in it you will anavoidable have a tree to deal with so you had better use your imagination.  Bunkers are plentiful so beware and practice up for sand saves.  They have a wonderful practice area 2 putting greens a, a chipping area with U.S. Open rough and a long sand bunker.  the only water on the course rears its watery head opn the signature hole.  #6 is a long par 5  581 yards to be exact.  With a generous fairway you had better poke that drive out there to have a snowballs chance in sheol of getting over the water in 2.  the green has 3 different levels and depending on the pin placement you might have to club up.  Bunkers on the right side may make your life hard.  If you make birdie consider yourself lucky.  I love this course as a practice ground it gets a 2 1/2 rating from me.
